The Engraving Was Not a Choice
Having the option to custom engrave something on your electronics or new items is always a nice thing. While most people don’t care too much about the engraving some people find it pretty important. When this person ordered their iPad, they were given the option to include an engraving. When they tried to opt out and write “no thanks, I don’t want my iPad engraved”, their attempts backfired and they wound up with an engraving.
It looks like if you made a purchase through this website you weren’t left with the option of an engraving or not. It was more “What do you want engraved?”
